How strongly type the ObjectEditControl.ascx?

Context to this question: working with custom views.

For ObjectView.aspx, it's possible to strongly type using "Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewPage<MyModel.MyDomainClass>"

For ObjectEdit.aspx, however, although this can also be done, it seems that the heavy lifting is done by delegating to ObjectEditControl.ascx, which (because it must deal with FindViewModels as well as regular domain objet models), does not lend itself to strong typing.

What's the recommended approach here?  I guess one approach is to simply inline the contents of ObjectEditControl.ascx into ObjectEdit.aspx?  Other options?

I don't know - but more usefully we are keen to make customization as user friendly as possible. So by all means do make proposals for changes which would make it easier to make the customisations you want to make.  (Or of course even provide patches ;-))
