We are proposing to remove non-Ajax (Basic) mode from Naked Objects MVC

Naked Objects MVC was orginally designed to work without any reliance on JavaScript.

Subsequently we introduced Ajax capabilities and there is no doubt that this significantly improved the UI - and this became the default mode for an install. We are under the impression that everyone who uses Naked Objects now uses it in Ajax mode.

It is still possible to run NakedObjects MVC in Basic (non-Ajax) mode, with a poorer UI. Maintaining this capability, however, is acting as a constraint on other improvements we would like to make. So we are proposing to remove Basic option altogether in a future release (not the next one, though).

If this is going to cause a problem for any of our existing users, please speak now. I am not guaranteeing that we won't still do it - but I will listen to your case and see if there are other options.

We're all for dropping it. We have never needed it again after switching to AJAX.
