Release Notes

First public open source release of the Naked Objects Framework. Corresponds to the packaged version available via NuGet.

Please note that the easiest way to install and run the Naked Objects Framework is via the NuGet package manager: just search the Official NuGet Package Source for 'nakedobjects'. It is only necessary to download the source code (from here) if you wish to modify or re-build the framework yourself.

The CodeFirstExample is the code used in this video.

Reviews for this release

I have been running an internet based application built on NakedObjects MVC for the last year. It has been a great experience. I have found the code easy to maintain and extend, and customizing the UI where the defaults did not suffice was also no issue. The fact that NakedObjects has now gone open source is great news. I heartily recommend that everybody try it out.

full disclosure: I'm a committer on Apache Isis, which is broadly speaking the Java equivalent of Naked Objects MVC. So, yes, I'm biased, because I grok the naked objects pattern and I dig its rather subtle power. Even so, I'm delighted that the framework is available as open source, I'm looking forward to using it more fully myself, and I can only hope others will try it out too.
